Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategy: Establish a clear vision for the ONDC logistics ecosystem, ensuring alignment with overall network goals and emphasizing scalability and efficiency. Define and implement strategies for onboarding various logistics service providers (LSPs) across different service levels (hyperlocal, regional, national, B2B, etc.), independent of other products on the network. Develop a clear value proposition for Logistics on ONDC.
- Ecosystem Building: Forge a robust, efficient population-scale logistics ecosystem on the network to facilitate seamless operations for Buyer/Seller NPs, offering diverse solutions for various categories.
- Building & Owning Relationships: Liaise with Logistics Service Providers (LSP), industry bodies/confederations, and other key stakeholders to support the ever-expanding product categories and use cases on the network.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (technology, network expansion, operations) and external stakeholders (LSPs) to ensure a cohesive and integrated logistics experience on the network.
- Program/Project Management: Support initiatives across the ONDC organization, ensuring timely onboarding of LSPs.
- Operational Excellence: Orchestrate a logistics network with optimum cost structures, service quality, and offerings in line with ONDC's growth ambitions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive background in logistics and supply chain management, particularly focused on ecommerce operations.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex logistics networks.
- Passion for digital commerce, logistics, and technology, with a history of solving large-scale problems and effectively leading and managing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the logistics and supply chain landscape in the country, including familiarity with the latest trends and technologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for negotiation and relationship-building.
- Familiarity with the Indian digital commerce landscape, with particular experience on leading ecommerce/hyperlocal platforms in logistics, strategy, consulting, or related fields considered advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with experience in high-growth operations, technology, or startups.
