Taking note of the potential of ONDC and the revolution it can bring, expanding opportunities for small businesses, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma in a tweet on Thursday said, “We can only underestimate the revolution ONDC is.”
The comments come on the back of a tweet praising the frictionless experience of a user while ordering coffee during a cricket match via Ola Cabs, enabled by ONDC.
Ola last month joined state-backed ONDC to offer food delivery services. Earlier this year, ONDC caused a stir in the food delivery industry by offering competitive prices than giants Zomato and Swiggy.

Commenting on the tweet, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Ola Cabs said, “ONDC will truly change e-commerce in India and make us leapfrog everyone else in the world.” He added that the biggest beneficiaries will be brands and SME retailers.
