Competing companies in the same business line compete with each other by lowering the prices of their products in order to gain profit. Due to this, there is pressure on the companies even if the customers benefit. The open network for digital commerce is currently 'rivaling' Zomato and Swiggy, two of the country's top food delivery companies, some analysts have alleged. But why such a sudden move? According to sources, ONDC has already spent several crores on discounts. The company believes the network cannot scale with the country's benefits for the unemployed and will shut down after a few months. Recently ONDC's Managing Director and CEO T Koshy detailed the network's growth strategy and joining the network of major e-commerce companies to a news agency.
