State-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has partnered with the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation (NCCF) and the Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) to bring affordable onions, potatoes, and chana dal on the network. The announcement comes amid onion prices ruling at a high level with an average of Rs 78 per kilogram in the retail market. Last month, ONDC and NCCF collaborated to offer economical chana dal and onions to consumers in the Delhi NCR region. Talking to ETRetail, Shireesh Joshi, CBO, ONDC said that the network is recording 800 orders a day currently under the NCCF and SFAC initiative.

Ondc: Commenting on the expansion plans under such collaborations, he said, “Expansion depends on where all the supply can be made available. This time we have gone beyond NCR. We are in NCR, Jaipur, and Varanasi. As the supply becomes available we will expand.”
